Healing Tree Bamboo Charcoal Soap is made with four simple ingredients: Vegetable Oil, Water, Glycerin, and Bamboo Charcoal. There are no dyes, and no chemicals. Zero. That means its made from Natural Ingredients, its Hypoallergenic, Detoxifying, and Fragrance Free. If you are a user of African Black soap and are looking for an alternative, this should be an option that you consider.
Healing Tree sent me several bars of their Bamboo Charcoal Soap for review and giveaway to one lucky winner.
Of note, the soap is much darker than it appears in the picture. It’s almost black. On first use, I used the product on my body, but not my face, just in case I had an adverse reaction. After showering, I did not use any moisturizers as I wanted to see if the Bamboo Charcoal Soap would be drying. All day, no dryness, no ashiness, no weird skin-isms. I then tried it on my face. After washing, no problems. I checked every now and then because I have sensitive skin and wanted to be able to catch and proactively deal with any issues that may arise from me using the product before they got out of control. Everything was ok for about 30 minutes. Then I noticed what looked like several little plugs of sebum that are usually extracted during facials coming up from my skin. I gently squeezed and sure enough they popped out.
That led me to conclude that this Bamboo Charcoal Soap has very high absorbency, it definitely Removes Dead Skin Cells and Unclogs Pores. I have the touchably smooth baby skin to attest to that, and all the men who complimented my skin at a party I attended on Saturday sure appreciate all the benefits of this soap.
I am very happy with the results. I will be purchasing more for personal use.
