Tameka Jarvis-George is a very creative, free-spirited Antiguan designer who currently resides on the island with her husband and  two children.

Unbeknownst to many of her peers, Tameka quietly flirted with clothing design for a few years, even wearing her own designs. She counts her mother, a skilled seamstress who learned to sew out of necessity more-so than fashionable aspirations as her main influence.

Her most daring design, and the one she is still most proud of, is her dress for her 2006 wedding.  After conceptualizing the idea for her dress, working with an amazing seamstress, and seeing her sketch and ideas come to life, she was hooked.

After the birth of her second child, she began to sketch designs religiously.  Approximately four years ago, motivated by the encouragement of her young daughter who loved her sketches, she decided to make her foray into the world of fashion.  The company name GenX 724, is a combination of both her children’s names.
